"I was born in the South, Georgia.
Many of us came from somewhere, somewhere like the islands.
Not surprising, I’m inside the doors of Ellis Island.
No jumping off the porch, I reluctantly stepped down,
Looking at the ground, tear stains, where I’ll lay my ground.
I was wandering in the streets,
Ended up with shackles on me.
I went to jail to get set free,
But this had found me.
They saw me—nah, not the words they said.
They saw the reason in my head.
Now I’ll explain.
’Cause all I want is sovereignty, loyalty, honesty, & strategy.
Love is expected & knowledge is the key.
For now, I am living.
I’m not a one-man band, just another instrument in the greatest symphony.
My interests are the notes,
But we’ll start with poetry.
Truth—
Don’t give up, nobody else is you.
But you are not as alone as you think."
