Statement
Recovering Addict (Upstate NY) with handwritten autobiography
2024
archival digital photograph
22" x 40"

"I was born in Oswego, NY, adopted at 6 months old to a couple in Central Square. Thanks to my Uncle Ray, who gave them the money to get me ($1000). I am Irish, Native American and Black. I don't know anything about my biological father except he's from Rochester, NY. Since a toddle, I've been through a lot of traumatic experience. But still try to remain humble and grateful.I've always been what they call a "partier" - in other words extreme drug abuser. I never sought help before this. This is my first time in rehab."
