I served in the Army, but I didn’t enjoy it. I was deployed to Iraq in 2003.

After leaving the Army, I experienced homelessness and stayed in a shelter. I have been with Housing Plus for six years.

When I was 10 years old, I saw New York City on TV and decided that one day I would move there. After leaving the military, I flew to NYC 16 years ago, and my dream came true.
